Tomato Stew

Ingredients for Ghanaian tomato stew

1/2 medium White Onion
5 serving trader joe’s tomato paste
1/4 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
1/4 tsp Ginger, Ground
1/2 tsp Chicken Flavor Bouillon Granulated
1/2 tsp(2 g) Curry Powder
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Ghanaian tomato stew

  1. dice onion
  2. heat oil in a sauce pan
  3. add onion and reduce heat
  4. cook until translucent, do not brown
  5. mix water into tomato past until smooth 
  6. add all seasoning except cayenne pepper to tomato and whisk together
  7. pour over onions and raise heat
  8. when bubble form reduce heat to low
  9. cook until reduced by half stirring frequently and adding cayenne pepper to taste
